“Drawing and painting was a daily activity in our home throughout my childhood and teenage years. Local landscapes, flowers, fields, forests, and gardens inspire my art to represent the natural world as I see it. I enjoy representing nature with bright, bold colors and textures using acrylic paints and mediums. While creating, I enter into an imaginary world where I am reminded of what life was like as a child – playful, fearless and free. Each painting tells a distinct story and, I hope, invokes a feeling of whimsy, playfulness, and joy.”
